Day 1

STOP 1: Tar River Paddle Trail
The Tar River Trail is part of an outdoor system trail that covers over 300 acres and offers over seven miles of walking trails and an extensive paddling trail. It runs, in part, next to the Tar River and links five different city parks. If you're looking to walk, bike, hike, paddle or Segway, this trail is easy to navigate. Most of the trail is paved but there is one boardwalk section that crosses marsh habitat.
Day 2

STOP 2: Country Doctor Museum
Chartered in 1967 to honor the “old family doctor,” this museum consists of the restored offices of two country doctors who practiced medicine from 1857-1887. Explore medical and apothecary artifacts or take a stroll through the garden to create your own herbal remedy.

STOP 3: The Imperial Centre
The Imperial Center is one-part Science Center and one-part Art Gallery. This 135,000 sq. ft. converted tobacco mill offers guests a chance to touch a moon rock, take a selfie with a Giraffe and then do yoga in a gallery filled with priceless art.

STOP 4: County Fair Carousel
Venture over to Sunset Park. There amongst its 25 acres you’ll find a century old County Fair carousel. Each horse has been meticulously restored and gallops around paintings of Rocky Mount landmarks from the 1920s. The park also features a skateboard area, disc golf course and more if you desire something a little more modern day.

STOP 5: Rocky Mount Mills
