Nash County has seen an increase in travelers since the restrictions have eased, and travelers are getting out more.

Great recovery was seen statewide compared to 2020 with visitor spending across the state up 45 percent. Each of the state's 100 counties experienced increases in spending from 2020 to 2021. This study was prepared for Visit North Carolina by Tourism Economics."

In 2021, Nash County visitors spending grew to $301.51 million, which is a 39.2% increase over 2020.

Tourism-related spending generated $13.1 million in state and $10.9 million in local tax revenues in Nash County. The impact this has for each household in Nash County is that they paid $252.64 less in state and local taxes. Nash County also employs over two thousand three hundred people that are directly tied to tourism and the hospitality industry.
